This is a small, representative sample of how people describe their work with Patrice. Because the Coaching relationship is intensely personal and confidential, their true identities have been protected here. Please contact Patrice for personal references.
Since then, I have become a workplace expert and teach young women how to create a workplace brand that makes the desired impact. I even wrote a book about it.
Patrice has been an instrumental force in my journey and I am grateful to have worked with her. Thank you so much Patrice!”
“It was just like they say: a job offer came along when I wasn’t even looking. The job description was something I’ve always wanted to do, more money, close to home and the Company was miles above my then current Mom & Pop organization. I knew it would be a change, but I was ready for it…or so I thought.
“Enter fear, panic, feelings of insecurity and going from a level of competency to feeling like the new kid entering school mid-term. I was out of my league – or so I thought. I’d been around the block a few times with employment, so I knew I’d come to terms with these growing pains in about 30 days or so.
“Well, the new highly successful real estate office that I was now managing can only be described as Welcome Back Kotter meets Selling NY. The culture was practically nonexistent, agents worked in silos, and there was distrust and ill will between the agents and the company. I was blessed to have top producers in my midst but their temper tantrums were out of control. The focus of my job was to recruit new agents to this office but we couldn’t even get to that task in its current state. I was to hired to lend stability, foster a healthy work environment, support the agents and promote the company we worked for. But, I was looked upon like the devil – and an unnecessary one at that.
“I came to Patrice out of pure desperation. It’s interesting how individuals take on the environment they are in, so when I first spoke to Patrice I was full of drama and distrust and my thoughts were all over the place. She immediately put me at ease. She listened, provided valuable input and gave me assignments that forced me to take apart my workload, piece by piece. Most importantly, she understood my value system and helped me incorporate it into the strategy for developing a cohesive office. Together, we developed a plan for training programs, getting agent buy-in to the structural concept of teamwork and most importantly opening the lines of communication.
“The management skills I learned are not just applicable to the work force, they have helped me with all of my interpersonal relationships.”
“Whenever I lost my footing, Patrice walked me through a post-mortem of the events that led to the personal crisis, until I learned how to assess and adjust to new job situations on my own. She took the ‘teach a man to fish’ approach with me, and due in no small part to that, I have been a successful Investment Banking Project Manager for the better part of 14 years.
“To Patrice: Thank you for the life skills you taught me along the way. To Patrice’s Potential Clients: I would highly recommend you start your professional journey with a word from Patrice to help ensure a successful outcome.”
“Patrice started our conversation by getting me to think about what I wanted from the organization at this point. After our discussions I was able to move away from my paralyzed state and start to work toward what I really wanted from my job, my organization and my career. Thank you Patrice!!”
“Senior management approached me and engaged a professional coach on my behalf. At the time I didn’t believe that I needed any fixing and that everybody was wrong and out to get me. I couldn’t see it, I was too hurt, I felt like a failure, unappreciated and like the victim. Looking back, I realized that I did make mistakes with my team, leading them to that point. The truth is that there is always room for improvement and growth.
“In the beginning I didn’t even want to speak with the coach, I admit it. However, with her generous heart, understanding and compassionate soul, amazing, wise and clever mind, she knew exactly how to reach me. She knew just what to say and do for me to take that journey out of the deepest darkness and into the brightest horizon. It wasn’t easy at all, but I was never alone as Patrice was with me every step of the way.
“Patrice was able to help me acknowledge that there was something wrong, then to accept it and to accept myself. She also helped me to learn more about my inner self, to stop feeling like a victim and take back control of my life and realize there is always a choice.
“For those reading this you may not know Patrice in depth yet, but one thing I can assure you of with open heart is that she cares, really cares and is always truthful.
She really listens and always offers different possibilities, until together you find those that work best. She is generous with her heart, soul and mind. When I was about to meet Patrice, I was convinced that it was one of the worst things that could have ever happened to me; requiring a professional coach. However, now I can honestly say it was one of the best things that could have ever happened to me. She knows so much and remains so humble.
“I could keep on going about how she achieved a transformation in me that I never thought possible. How she helped me to recognize and see my errors. How she helped me to accept myself and filled my heart up with hope and wisdom. If you are going through a situation similar at all to mine, I can tell you that you can trust in her with all your heart. Trust because she cares. Trust because she’ll help you. Trust because in a few months from today, you’ll be in a much better situation and will even be laughing about the difficult times.
“You might not realize right away when you meet her, but your life is going to change for the best. I promise you won’t regret one minute of it.”
She was amazing. I loved what she had to say. Even though I knew some of the information, it felt like I was hearing it for the first time. I loved her insights.
Excellent relevance to HR role; actionable take-aways.
Excellent speaker, wished we could somehow make the session interactive rather than speech.
I appreciated her comments that helped shed light on the true extent and nature of the issues.
I enjoyed Patrice’s presentation and found myself writing several things down that had an impact on me. I was particularly interested in her slide on Inequality to Justice. I am still not certain what Justice looks like or means or plays out in corporate America.
I really enjoyed her conversational approach to the topics.
I thought Patrice was a great speaker. I would love to hear more about her work experiences and how she handled them.
I was immensely moved and inspired by her presentation. I was able to relate very closely my own personal experience of having a foot in each world. It creates a unique perspective on the dichotomy and sever polarization that exists in experience of each American identity.
I would like to go deeper with her
Informed, authentic, relevant and approachable – that combination got my attention and I listened to what she said.
Loved her speech and the slides deck that discussed ways to look at success and racial justice.
Patrice did a great job setting the stage. It is very valuable to get outside views.
Patrice Hall’s keynote presentation was excellent. Very informative and a great way to kick off the day’s events.
Patrice opened my eyes to a new perspective on racism.
Patrice was very encouraging, engaged. My favorite advice from Patrice was that we should treat ourselves with empathy. Perfection is an illusion.
She was clear and was a pleasure to listen to. She had my attention the entire time.
She was knowledgeable, engaging, and was able to talk about the issue from multiple perspectives.
She was quite engaging and shared effective ways we can make positive impacts with ourselves and others beyond our race.
She was very authoritative on the subject and had a background that gave her credibility. I thought she was able to communicate her ideas and concepts in a way that was easy to understand and digest.
Very informative, relatable and an eye opener.
